The French Company has been known as the premier American
luggage company since 1946.
The founder, Clarence French sought to provide luggage to
persons of prominence from Hollywood to Washington D.C. that
could match their demands for quality and beauty. The French line
today employs a design concept whereby beauty does not
necessarily need to be segregated from innovations of
engineering, durability, and utility. The luggage embodies a
graceful combination of aesthetically appealing fabrics and
tapestries combined with leather trim in non critical areas and
specially coated gold plated fixtures. Innovation of design
manifests itself in hand contoured curved zippers which lie flat
